I started in front-end, so I know what a design decision costs.
Background
I studied economics and business analysis, and my first job was in front-end development. I judge every design decision by what it should move and what it costs to build.
Method
I start from the outcome, prototype the options in code and bring engineers in before design starts. Research stays lightweight: five to eight interviews, recorded and tagged, always read against usage data.
Scope
I lead design inside cross-functional teams: founders, PMs, engineering leads and QA, from discovery through launch. I’ve set up design from scratch twice, from the design system to handoff, and hired and led a design team.
